Default LMAO headgasket

So I pick my car up from paint. Start driving home. Car is over heating. Pull over throw in some anti freeze.

Start driving, it seems ok then ping HOT HOT HOT. So I pull over pop hood, looks like antifreeze is shooting out of the block. Great Dunno how thats possible. Deff looked like it though. Guess I just wasnt thinking clearly because I was heated and so was my motor.

I was suppose to throw in one of my rebuilt s14 motors a few days ago anyways. So I say fuck this motor to hell.

Start driving gauge looks like its about to spin around. So I think to myself.... I WANT TO BLOW THIS UP RIGHT NOW. Get on a open country road and let her loose.

It gets good and hot.I am wondering the whole time why is this bastard not smoking? Get home. Check oil, it seems perfect. Hmmm apparently a hose blew open because the thermostat was stuck closed.

Threw out the thermostat and changed hose. Runs perfect.

I have no idea how I did not blow the head gasket or something else for that matter. Compression also checked out the same as it did before.

I know people who have over heated their KA once and the head gasket went. Not to mention all the other stories I have read about.

What a champ this one is.

/Novel

Edit: When all was said and done. Parked car, locked it. Walked half way into my yard. Horn went off and got stuck

lol i had the same thing happen to mine

Its 98 240 and had that upper plastic heater core coupler on the fire wall break while i was driving and had all the coolant leak out.
TEMP GAUGE DID NOT RISE ABOVE NORMAL
(I know the Temp Gauge is garbage)

Car drove fine but stumbled at idle and had what i thought was rod knock at low RPM's like when you first start off in gear but disappeard above 1500RPM's. Gently drove it home (20 MINS) since i though i had a spun rod bearing, parked it. Later went out to check it over when it cooled down, went to check the coolant level to find the rad was empty. I then looked at that coupler to find it broke.

So I figured the H/G popped but the strange thing was the car drove all the way home with out a problem.
replaced the coupler and filled up the rad..... fired right up

Idles fine bled the system, warmed it up to operating temp took it for a short drive,no smoke, no loss in power, no chocolate milk No more knock.

Ended up taking a 800 mile round trip with out a problem and still DDing it.

Ka's are tough. I don't know how people destroy them so easily. My engine has performed above and beyond anything Nissan ever intended it to do.

one of my old s13 dual cam motors would over heat almost weekly. Same kind of thing, no love for that motor. The thing ran like a dog. It would over heat to the point of stalling out. Let it sit for a while to cool off, then start it back up and beat on it some more. It had a dying water pump and no fans. after a few months of that crap, I gave up trying to kill it, pulled the thing apart, fixed the water pump and other odds and ends stuff, gave the motor to a buddy of mine who still drives on it.
