Loud "clunk" after releasing the brakes

I have a loud clunk sound after I release my brakes or when I go over some bumps or rough roads. Sounds like it's coming from front left of the car. Is it time to invest in a suspension bushing kit? Any other ideas of what's causing the "clunk"?
