Brake Question
i think at one point the silvias, skylines, and the 300zxs all had 4 piston calipers.
but which are which?
-can anyone link me the oem s14 silvia brake specs?
-im thinking 280mm x 30mm rotor with iron calipers?
-and if so are they the same as the late model 300zx?

yeah i already read that and i didnt find anything on the silvia brake specs. it has the q45 and the 300zx and the usdm abs 240sx.
The Definitive 300ZX Brake Swap!
was another good read. but i couldnt find any definitive part numbers to validate if the brakes in the late model 300zx was the same as the silvias.

The 30mm Iron z32 calipers are identical to the ones that came on the s14 silvias. IIRC s15 brakes were the same as well. R32 and 33 calipers are slightly larger than the 30mm iron and aluminum z calipers. They resemble brembo calipers in design. Lastly you can tell the aluminum z calipers from the others because they have heat sink grooves in them. The iron ones do not, not to mention aluminum is not magnetic.
