Default Help with bad fuel leak please

Need help with a bad fuel leak please. Noticed it several months ago and car has been sitting since I noticed it. Decided a few weeks ago to start it up, starts and runs fine but the leak has gotten much worse. Before it was just a small drip but now it's quite bad and I'm not sure where it's coming from, it's dry at the top access hole and it's not coming from where the rubber hoses meet the hardlines on the side like I had thought. In the few months it's been sitting it hasn't leaked one drop before I started it and it's not currently leaking anything and there's no longer any smell of gas if that's any indication? I've included some pics taken when it was leaking it's worst, could it be either the feed or return fuel hose? Really hoping it's just one of the hoses.

Bit of an update, I just poured 2 gallons of fresh gas + fuel stabilizer and it started leaking again from the same area, doesn't look like it can be coming from the filler neck. Seems to be coming from the top somewhere. Does this indicate a crack in the tank?

Thank you for any help.

i would drain the tank, drop it and check the top. its not that hard and it can be as a simple in-out procedure. coming from that side i would say your fuel pump may be leaking? im not sure though. anyway. drop it and have a look see.

3 things it could be
1st hole in side of tank.
2nd fuel hoses have a hole in them, there are only 2.
3rd the fuel pump seal is bad so it splashes out.

you can get under the car and see most of the tanks sidewalls to check for holes
and get in ur trunk and take the little cover off of the fuel pump housing start the car check for hose leaks.
and the fuel pump seal is just a thin rubber ring that goes bad and lets gas splash out while moving..
so check all of that and report back

Thank you for very much the advice, not sure if it could be the fuel pump seal since it's dry at the access port at the top? I've examined the sides and there's no visible damage anywhere I can see.

Would a crack get worse just sitting, or does that sound more like a hose rotting? Because it has gotten worse than when it was parked.

In regards to dropping the tank, I was under the impression it wasn't a simple task? Doesn't the whole sub-frame need to be dropped as well? Don't think that's something I could do in my garage.

Yes, been praying to the Nissan gods it's not a crack .

Thanks again, and here's the top:

dropping the tank is pretty easy
basically pull fuel pump, pull the 2 bolts holding the gas tank in lower slowly while pushing the filler neck down also then its out lol..
i personally think it is bad hole where you cant see

yea dropping the gas tank takes 5 minutes if you have two people. easy as pie and i would say its our best bet. your best checking a gas leak thoroughly.

I think you're describing dropping the tank on an S13, which I would agree seems easy compared to an S14.

I checked the FSM and the drive shaft needs to come out as well as all of the suspension stuff. Not quite so easy it seems .
