Default MSD 6AL&soft touch Vs. Bee R Rev Limiter.

Getting a rev limiter on my car is a must. I am currently driving around with nothing and need to decide on something soon. I had a soft touch but ditched it cause I was going to get a rev limiter added in on my current ECU program but that is going to be a pain in the ass. With the Msd I would have to run a 6AL box with the soft touch. With the Bee R it would have both two step and rev limiter built in, or from what I have read that's what it seems to do. Now, is the Bee R a safe unit to run or not? Will it cause any problems with how lean or rich I run? I am not too familiar with the Bee R products.

It is a 2 step with the launch control hooked up, otherwise its just a rev-limitter.

3 knobs,
First sets the rev-limit
2nd is 2step launch control (I dont have hooked up)
3rd is the spark cut ranges 1-F (Fiyyaaaa)

I think I will just get one than. Thanks for the info. I would rather run a Bee r single unit than two msd units.

if i remember right the factory limiter kills the fuel pressure with helps with leaning out, and the bee r kills the spark so you wont lean out just flood with gas and make shot gun noises lol

The Bee-r is pretty neat st00fz.
You could always look into the 6AL-2. It has the 2-step and rev control, adjustments are made with rotary dials instead of their modules.

Kinda. The factory system skips injector events, not kill the fuel pressure. The spark plug fires, but nothing happens because with no fuel, combustion can't happen. The idea that it leans out is kind of a farce. A wideband will show lean because all of that uncombusted air/oxygen goes straight out the exhaust and is read by the oxygen sensor. In reality, the cylinders that are injecting still have a proper AFR.

Also, just FYI, Nissan factory ECUs have 2 different rev limit settings: soft and hard. All the NA cars got the soft and the DET's got the hard limiter. The softer one starts injector cutting at an earlier RPM relative to the programmed limit.

Meh, ignition cut is ignition cut. Pick the one that is most shared_user friendly. Or just pick the one that looks the coolest.

Honestly, my last car didn't have a revlimiter. 9k+ 2nd gear rolling burnouts! Unless you're worried about the RPMs getting away from you under wheel spin, what's the purpose. Have a problem with ADD mid-race?

Hey man, I was so sketched out by the 5-0 last night. And yeah, the ADD was kicking but it got worst once I thought about getting pulled over. But hey I got one win and one loss. Sentra-1 Mr2-1. Tie game.

What wheel spin? You mean that 4 seconds I sat at the line in 1st and second?
