My car has been misfiring in 4th and 5th gear... it usually misfires around 25k and 3k rpms... but lately has been misfiring when i shift into 2nd and 3rd gear. my ka24de has 200,000+ on it. Looking for answers need help... bad sensor maybe?

 

Oil all over your spark plugs?
If so then you need a new valve/spark plug cover gaskets. Happened to my s14..

 

just do a basic tune up on it
new plugs
new wires
new fuel filter
new cap and rotor
and even throw a injector cleaner in the gas tank

 

Since its only at certain times I am willing to bet it is the MAF. Same thing happened to me.

Replace it they are like $10 on here, if thats not it try plugs.

 

i did a tune up on it... replaced the spark plugs and wires.. everything is gapped right... it started acting up right after the tune up... i thought it was shitty sparks plugs so i bought ngks and it still has been doin it... as for the MAF sensor... would a bad MAF cause your car to idle funny and once in a while make the car shut off.. because i have that issue as well..

 

Yeah get a MAFS

 

they sell a maf sensor cleaner at the auto parts store try that first
and maybe even try swapping out coil packs,fuel filter

 

i have another mafs.. but i think that one is even worse becaue it idles real bad when i just turn the car on..

 

check your dizzy timing? sometimes that can cause it to idle funny and act up in higher RPMs
