Do they have a solenoid that activates the VTC? If anyone knows about this let me know. Also, if anyone has one laying around could I check it out? My intake cam solenoid is a bit leaky on my motor and I am having no luck finding a new one.

 

Hi. I've got an S14 VTC motor. Yes it has big solenoid with a body about 2.5" long and another 2" that goes into the head. I'll bring my spare to QSL if you'll be there.

Yep, same black plug and overall shape.

If the problem is a leak, you know they seal to the housing with an o-ring. I've probably go the the spare.

 

The leak is where the plastic meets the metal. It is not where it screws into the plate. Here is another pic.
