Eric has a 2871 and seems to be confused, this guy is talking about the 2876 not a 2871, and you apparently are confused also, 400 on a 2871, not done all that often, 400 on a 2876 will be a little bit easier to do.

From what I remember when researching each of them, I believe the 2876 uses the turbine wheel thats supposed to be in the 3076R but machined down to fit in a T2x housing, so it isnt all that great.

Im sure however that you'll be able to do the 400 you want on it. Though if I were doing an SR for numbers around there it would probably be a 3076R bottom mount on the stock manifold, with the TiAl exhaust housing they make which allows you to stick a tial 44mm gate right to it.

I didn't think that there was room for that, with it being close to the strut tower. I was thinking about this yesterday.

2876 shouldn't have any issues making 400 on an 86ar housing. They make a bottom mount 3071 in a T2 housing that I'd use if starting from scratch, though.

Im pretty sure there is enough room, I peeked around a bit, heck worst case you could put a 90* right off the flange and locate the wastegate where you want.

The nice thing about it is that im pretty sure it doesnt require the cut down wheel, I believe the 3071 and 3076 come with the 60mm exhaust whee, and the 2876 and 3071 with the T2x flange have that wheel cut down to a smaller size to accomodate the T2x housing.

Yeah? You want to lose 60hp right off the bat?

Being that "log manifold" is listed in their modifications for the before test, I doubt they were using a stock manifold. You do also realize that test was a GT3040R right ?

82mm 56T compressor, at 13 psi, on little cams, a 600HP turbo, at around half that power, gee this sounds like an awesome comparison.

GT2871 @ 15 psi doing 353 RWHP, but that 3082 only did 300 rwhp at 13, riiiiiiight GT2871 USERS. SR motor - Page 2 - Zilvia.net Forums | Nissan 240SX (Silvia) and Z (Fairlady) Car Forum

If you believe the story they are sellin, thats cool. But i'll pass on that load of BS
