no im not kidding, think about some of the "installs" people have done and how they half ass shit. most people dont understand the twist and lock with a dzues faster if you over tighten you can rip the mounting point I have seen this done a ton of time's due to...well lets face it just not knowing what the hell they are doing. my only point is make this idiot proof so it dosnt come back and bit you in the ass. im not bashing the idea at all I think its sound but just needs a bit more thought if you are planing on selling these to the public.

you do make a valid point, i do often forget that everything has to be idiot proofed, because well, there are lots of idiots around.

I guess the reason I forgot in this instance is because all the race cars im around and the people that are around me with them have been doing it since they were all young and know what they are doing.

 

can you make a track and street use hood is the quesion? basicaly the same thing just one will have a bit more fool proof mounting points!

for DD just push and think about anything that can go wrong somebody will find a way to make it go wrong LOL

 

well if they take the time to make a mounting jig for a bolt plate that is inside the inner layer of the hood it can bolt strait onto the hinges and have the person who buys it run hood pins. at that point its up to the customer as to what type of pins to use

very ture I was thinking make a bar that bolts to the factory hinges to keep them alined and just make more or less sleeves that they slide into so when you unpin the hood it can slide right off it would be an easy mold to make and sucre it to the hood via panel bond, quick and easy! and leave t to the customer to figure out what they want to sucre the front with so if they screwup its not on the makers hands it the customer doing, hood pins for street use and for those that know how to use dzuse fasteners without killing the mount points can go that rout.

 

if you dont like 1/4 turn fasteners go buy a seibon.... your obviously not a future buyer of this hood... so why bitch about it...

you planning on spending 750+ on a new hood sometime soon? is your car a dedicated track car where saving a few extra lbs is worth it? if not, then dont worry about it. there are LOADS of companies out there making affordable oem style hoods... a small shop isnt going to compete with them. and i personally have no intrest in owning one of those hoods.

 

so do these come with wings for when they take flight?
