man!! i think i need someone with nissan exp, to take a look at what i got and tell me what i need to do, its all stock!! anybody got free time thats close or in brandon?

 

It has nothing to do with nissan, all cars have EGR. Almost everyone I know blocks off the EGR no matter what car/model it is.

if the check engine light is on, take it to advance and have them check the codes.

 

the code says bad egr valve!

 

Hmm, well if it already is done, you shouldn't have any problems..
I'm no expert, but if it's having problems, check all the vaccum lines, see if by removing any it idles smoother, if so, block those off.
I'm gonna see what I can do to my Z24i to see what isn't necessary.

 

My egr is blocked off and the car runs fine

 

it stumbles taking off, and surges before it shifts, i read in the manual it even states that you will experience this if the egr is bad or missing, if i hold the gas and brake,, it wont even spin the tires, it goes to about 1500 r.p.m and bogs down ,,,suggestions, advance the timing? cat stopped up, or just go back factory setup? i dont want to spend a fortune on this???

 

if the egr is blocked off , it can not cause a running problem. Are the vacuum lines open or something?

 

All vaccum lines that went to the egr is blocked and I check all other lines ,, no leaks??

 

Maybe the egr is leaking, or there is a leak at the intake manifold.
