Default s13 clicking when turning, braking, acceleratin

i hear clicking when i turn right or left, more left than right. if im driving doing 30 -40 mph, and i turn the wheel left or right i hear a clicking sound. when i back out of my driveway and turn my wheel left i hear like four or five clicks but when i turn the wheel right i no clicks until i almost get to the stopper. when i brake i usually hear a click or two, same with accelerating. i dont know if this is related or not but when doing 70 mph sometimes the wheel vibrates and sometimes it doesnt very intermittent. i checked the struts and springs everything is tight and the springs look like they are seated properly. i installed new oem lower control arms with new ball joints, new tie rod ends and after market tension rods and a fresh alignment after install with a balance. i have kyb agxs with megan springs topped off with tien camber plates. could a bad rack and pinion cause this?

its coming from the front right mostly, it seems, but that might explain the clicking i hear when im at 40 or so and shimmy the wheel left and right.

the front TC rods will make more of a clunking noise.
the wheel shaking is most likely wheels need a balancing.
you said that you installed new lower control arms with ball joints check there if anythng has come loose.
and my tc rods came loose once before where they bolt in and they were making noise check that to..
also check to see if anything is hitting your tires up front while turning or from the wind pushing on them.might be the inner fender plastics hitting. check all that then report back

Do you have coilovers? I know a clicking like that happened with my Stance coilovers and the shit would bind up and cause the spring to actually rotate on the perch causing a clicking/clunking. Youtube something along the lines of stance coil overs and noise.

no coilovers,
today checked everything again tight and no movements except in the rack and pinion itself. the rack moves left and right a few millimeters, so im going to order some new bushing and replace them and see if that solves the problem...

Re-check balljoint, tie rod, shock mount and tension rod bushing. I had the castle nut on the ball joint come loose on me once and it did the same thing.

just to throw this out there you could try checking the strut mount bearing assembly by taking the strut out and seeing if it pivots or wobbles a bit, cause i do know that it can make clunking noises when going over bumps or bind up a bit and click when turning left or right or changing the rack bushings is a way to go as you said. or check your steering linkage at the cuppler to see ir it is binding up at all. like i said its just a thought hope this helps and good luck.
