Run the Es oval 3 inch inlet/oulet muffler. They look stock and sound good. They are also pretty affordable as well.

2.5" is a waste if you ask me. i know you want stock appearance, but i gotta put it out there, that, my Apexi GT Spec exhaust is ridiculously quiet with the silencer on. and its very high quality with 3.74" piping. my SR is stock except for an air filter, 3" downpipe, test pipe, and the exhaust.

My only though on the subject is if you turn the boost up past 10psi would that cause higher EGT's and possibly damage the turbo or is that not going to generate enough heat?

I'm not sure what you're saying.

Are you implying that restrictive exhausts cause higher EGTs?

I'd go 3" and make sure you use the largest resonator you can get. You only need one 3" u-bend and 6' piece of straight 3". The pipe will cost about $60-$75(new) and the resonator & muffler will cost you from $150-$200(new) If boxmod hooks u up with that muffler, you can buy all the materials for about $125.

Coupled with higher than stock boost levels, that was my question.

Yes, thereotically it would cause higher EGT's. More back pressure from the higher volume of air being forced through it, would cause higher EGT's. Being that the SR can only handle 10-12psi without a tune anyways, you're running leaner already. Coupled with a restrictive exhaust, I would think it would be and equation for some serious uh-oh's...
