Did a search and found many different answers. Most lean towards 3 bar (42 lbs) Does this sound correct? Just installed a Aeromotive FPR and need to set fuel pressure.

Interesting question. The stock base pressure is 3 bar (43.5psi) per the FSM. BUT, every car I've measured that had a bigger pump with a stock regulator ran 3.5 bar consistently. I'd dial it in to 3.5 bar (50psi) and work back from there with a wideband.

 

Thanks for the reply/help Chris. I will get some a/f readings at idle and see what you think. Im sure the car will be running a bit rich do to the HKS cams. What do you think?

 

take the readings under boost. idle is probably the least predictable place to take a reading. Very little air and fuel going in.

 

I'm running 42-43 lbs of fuel pressure. At full boost (13-14 lbs) I'm getting a reading of 10 it will go up to 11, but most of the time its bottomed out at 10. May be lower since the AEM gauge only goes down to 10. The car would start breaking up. I'm guessing I'm running a little rich. Should I bump fuel pressure down to 35-38 lbs?

 

42psi at idle with the vac connected? Pull out 4psi and see whatcha got.
