How to disassemble a bilstein coilover ?
For those of you who are going WTF are you up to ?
I'm pretty sure I can get these onto the front, by grinding off the bracket, carefully removing the bracket from a stock S13 front strut, flipping the S13 bracket upside down, and welding it back on, however I dont think things will go too well if this thing is still charged with gas when I go welding on it, so i'd like to discharge them if I go through with this.
Tomorrow i'll be checking out the rear situation, though im pretty confident they will work, not a whole lot of trickyness to the rears, provided they do, i'll get to work making the whole setup fit..

my best suggestion would be to contact Steele Performance and talk to them about disassembling the setup so you can do your thing, then they can put them all back together for you. Dave Steele is really good at suspension tuning and has done some seriously nice work for the guys i know who deal with him.
I'll post up info for those that want to do it after im done, yes there are coilovers for S13's, but not bilsteins, i'll pass on the taste the rainbow selection of primarily junk out there, its either this, or some GC sleeves with Z32 non adj bilsteins in the rear and the 3KGT inserts up front.
Maybe this helps? TIP Engineering :: View topic - Fun with Bilsteins
Hell, just type in Bilstein on the NRR forums. Wiisass has done some work with them.
