What is the highest boost I could run on the T25 mated to the SR20DET efficiently?

What about with an upgrade T28 from the S14/15 SR20DET?

anythin over 12 will cause it to wear out faster but a rebuild will ensure it will last a while if you dont kno how much mileage your motor had when you got it. 14psi is about max.

it will go up to 17 or so before the injectors get maxed out but its gonna blow hot air anyways. 14 will ensure mid 13s or better

the t25 is only good for like ~270 hp? at wheels? i think. the s14 is a little higher. s15 turbo is good for like 320 or so

dont quote:91142ad72e me on those.

s15 turbos are pretty pricey and almost worth it to save some more dough and go for the t3/t4 option with better manifold or something.

gti-r t28 is good option as well

useless info i feel like typing out:

s15 turbo:

60 trim 60mm BCI-1 compressor in T04B housing and exhaust is 62 trim 53.8mm .64 a/r INCO turbine wheel in T-25 housing.

ball bearing. i do not remember if it is 360 degree thrust bearing or not. im sure charles might know.

most ive seen is likely round 260rwhp but thats pushing it.

t28 or t3/t4

if you only plan on having t25 for like a few months til you upgrade turbo then dont worry bout rebuilding or anything just run it safely and then do that matt suggested and run like 22psi right before u slap the new one on lolol. then get s-afc big MAF injectors ecu with that and go wheeeeee

If he hasnt sold it yet Dave is selling a S15 turbo(brand new I think) for around $650 I think. Id snatch this one up and run stock boost around town and crank it up to around 14-16psi only when needed

Agreed but good enough for mid-low 13s in this instance.

why buy a T28 for $650 when you can get a T3/T04 for $500?

EDIT: manifold flange considerations taken into account
