throtle body question
is the ka24e throttle body bigger than the ka24de? and if so will it bolt right up? and is there any cheap things i can do to pull someexthra power from my ka?
Cams, header, nitrous, those are pretty much the cheap things you can do.
Unsure on the TB sorry.

full on track cars can take a lot more liberties with shit than a street car. bell bottom kits and crazy wheel fitment look cool sliding on a track, but when i want to drive to taco bus, im going to ruin all of that shit. so it just doesnt work for me. function over fashion.

as far as I know they are the same size, but I doubt they will bolt up... you would be gaining just about zilch as far as power goes by swapping them...
Intake
Headers
Exhaust
start there... once you do that, and you want to spend more money on it, then get a lightweight flywheel, one piece, (perfereably aluminum) driveshaft, lightweight/underdrive pulleys
still want more... tear the motor down and rebuilt with high compression pistons (sohc pistons will jump the compression up to 10.7:1-11.1:1), while you have the motor apart, get the crank knife edged and balanced, deck the head as much as safely possible, port and polish the head and intake manifold, 3 way valve job, install oversize valves. toss in a set of the most aggressive cams you can that won't nail the valve against the piston.
still want more.... get your hands on a set of motorcycle throttle bodies and do the individual throttle body set up.
at that point, all you can do is undrage the ignition and little odds and ends stuff like that.
get an awesome tune and thats it
if you did all of that, then you ought to be able to get over 200whp, but not more than 225whp.
toss on a conservative(ish) shot of nos, and call it a day
The catch is, you'll be spending about twice as much as an sr swap, have a huge amount of down time, and end up with the same amount of power as a stock sr.
