How to tell differnce between s13 and s14 KA

Default How to tell differnce between s13 and s14 KA

LMK what the differences are picking up a motor tomorrow and want to make sure its an s14 ka

S13 valve cover has 3 bolts by the spark plugs holes↓↓
s13↑↑


the s14 only has 2↓↓

on both the engines is the valve cover bolt pattern, on the s13 theres 3 bolts on the top of the valve cover, while in the s14 theres only two on top And, If you're looking at your engine from the front. If you look on Your left @ the left overhead cam part that pops up. Towards the back of the s14, It slopes down. on the s13 it stays straight.

Depending on if its 96 and up it should have 2 tps sensors. On some 95's they have one or 2.

that and the dizzys are different... the s14 has the coil inside the dizzy as the s13 has an external coil

s13 ka's also don't have a bolt hole at the rear center of the valve cover.
