sr20det 5 psi
just hooked up my boost gauge today. when i took it for a spin the vacuum reading is about 25-30 but under boost it gets up to 5psi. stock everything except front mount. gauge reads a steady 5psi not jumping around or anything. is that normal, i thought stock boost was 7 or 8 psi.

Stock boost is 7 psi, however after soooo many miles of that spring holding the wastegate shut, being heated up plenty and being squished when the wastegate opens, its fatigued, either get a boost controller, or a new wga.

its a faze gauge, it came with the motor. just temporary hooked it up. under cruising speeds it reads like 25 or 30 cant remember ill look at that tomorrow.

full on track cars can take a lot more liberties with shit than a street car. bell bottom kits and crazy wheel fitment look cool sliding on a track, but when i want to drive to taco bus, im going to ruin all of that shit. so it just doesnt work for me. function over fashion.

mine does the same. its constantly at 5lbs and when i get to 6k rpm it spikes to 9
