Well I know I posted this a few days back but I figured I would give a update on my situation.

I had Abe come to install a newer not bashed harness, after he installed my harness the car wouldn't start and was acting funny, after he fixed a few things it started up and he put her into my garage.

Went to turn the car on the next day it won't turn on, thus being said when you do happen to get the car on you can only keep the car on by giving it a lot of gas once you let off the gas pedal it shuts off.

Now todays update:

Abe came over took the harness back out to make sure everything is 100% correct he put the harness back into the car, now the car won't even turn on.

He took the ECU out of the car & there is no LED light to check for codes... He's thinking the ECU is fried but the thing I don't understand is that my ECU was fine before he put a newer harness in...

Any ideas for trouble shooting now, I'm spending more an more money just to be pushed back further an further...

is it a s14 ecu or s13??? cuz s14 dont have a led light in the back!!!

 

It says black top ecu on the box, so I'm assuming s14.

I've got a SR20 redtop but I bought the ECU off a kid 5 months ago from TR.

He lives in Pasco, sold me the " rom tune ECU " for 250$ how ever he forgot to tell me that the ecu wasn't even tuned and Martin had to fix a dead spot in the ECU.

I also bought the harness because I was told thats the reason my speedo don't work and the tach don't work.

How ever I buy a new harness and now my damn car don't work at least before I could get around town now I can't even do that!

 

That sucks, who was the kid who sold you the ECU?

 

I forget his name but I PM'ed him on here a long time ago and he tried to claim that Driven Concepts tuned it for him but I got Martin to tell me something different.

I just know the kid use to old a RHD black coupe and he now has a bike, but back a couple months ago he laid his bike down... If anyone knows who that is....I'll have to check my PM's maybe I still got his PM...

 

ok man let me tell you something...
you got fucked.... the reason why your speedometer wasnt working is cuz your speed sensor wasnt pb conected, and your tac pb had a loose wire in the harness.

best thing i would do it talk to taylor durdan from s&r perfomance....
ive heard that martin is good, but i can tell you that taylor will get your shit running the right way garranty. and im talking from a personal experience....
so give them a call....

 

The situation that I am at right now is this, I've had a lot of hands in on my car through the course of its build.

I've replaced a lot of parts that might not have needed to be replaced.

I'm pretty sure there is no lose connection in the back of the unit because I've replaced two units now not counting the one we first had in the car.

I'm now running a HUD on my s13, it actually kicked on once when I was driving down the road. I actually thought I could take the GPS out of the car!

I'm just in a tight bind right now because my car don't run and I don't think I can handle another person telling me the harness I bought is a bad harness or that my ECU is toast....
