Default High Idle problem

I just turned my car on today and its in nurtural and my car is idling extremely high.

I can't see what I'm idling at since my tach isn't working, its something with my ecu harness but thats besides the point.

I just replaced the spark plugs and the guy didn't gap them I think he eye-balled the spark plugs that came out to the ones that went in.

Could the issue be the spark plugs?

I gave your mom the oil drain tube....

anywho... no, the spark plugs wouldn't be causing that... a vacuum leak could though... or an out of adjustment dizzy.... or a stuck throttle cable.... hell, it might just be your imagination... without knowing how high is high, it is kinda hard to guess what is wrong... if it is idling at 1200rpms, that is a completely different issue than if it was idling at 2500rpms...

Well I switched the throttle cable to a dual cable last night and rearranged vacuum lines last night too so for all I know it can be a mix between the both of them.

i would just about bet my next paycheck you either

1-have your throttle cable adjusted wrong, where its sitting at just about 1% throttle
2- vacuum somewhere is crossed.

recheck and readjust what you did last night, good luck
