Everytime i start my car from a cold start over night a belt skreeches really loud for a couple seconds then stops. When it does this the car seems to like to start up all the way until the belt stops wining. Anyone have any ideas. I figure i should go change the belt, but will that solve it.

 

Try adjusting the tension on the belts tighter. No luck? replace the belts.

 

word. Also do you know where i can find a book that goes through most of the basic repairs. I need to tighten my clutch peddle alittle since it is sticking and also i think i may have a overheating issue. any help with this would be great since im stuck in tallahassee were there is absolutely no shops around at all.

 

Get a Haynes or Chiltons manual from Advance or just download the Factory Service Manual(FSM) off the interwebs.

clutch pedal is sticking as in to the floor? you may have a leaking clutch slave cylinder...

not to the floor haha. it sticks on the way up. its after the engagement point like a slight stick that doesn't make it come all the way up
