Default quick hardbody question

What is this box between the two seats? I took the cover off and there's some electronics in it. Is it gonna hurt anything to relocate it? I think it's for the airbags but not completely sure. It's in the way of the sub box I have. Thanks

looks like the airbag computer... since your dash is from the new hardbodys, I'm assuming it had a SRS system, and that's the brain....

yep. that is the box that "senses" a collision and deploys the bags...

as far as relocating it... ummm... it might not hurt... the worst it is going to do is deploy the air bags when you mess with the wires... that or just not function in a wreck... so i guess it depends on how much you like air bags...

eh it was a real pain in the ass but i just took it out. I dont think theres an airbag in my wheel anyway. They had it mounted with a shit load of bolts that have a star pattern but also a pin up in the middle so you cant get a bit in there. I got 2 out with pb blaster and brute force, the other 5 had to meet the grinder.
