question about led bulbs in s14 cluster.
okay, so i finally have a question this board can answer.
since theres so many interior lighting experts on here, what leds should i get for an s14 cluster? i have an se cluster, and its the dimmest piece of shit ive ever looked at in my life.
i dont want any ricey blue/red/pink bullshit, just oem bluish white, but brighter.
come on blackzenki, this is your chance to teach me about something i dont know !
also, i dont care about any other bulbs but the 194 cluster bulbs. im not changing every bulb in the car, fuck that.

the bulb is a 194 bulb, and being that, there's a shit ton of options, since i know you like to have the primo stuff, get the WLED SMD 194s, the cost a lot for what they are, but you wont have to worry about that "ricer" look... various colors and all that shit...
the SMD's are gonna be bright as fuck, so you might want to just stick with standard 360* LED wedge types... or with the SMD the WHP5/9 i think would be OK...
Super Bright LEDs – 12 Volt LED Car Bulbs
or you could just order a new OEM set from your local Nissan dealer and pull the blue film off, and that should brighten your day...
oh, and more shit to read up on, before you buy... http://www.superbrightleds.com/carbulb-notes.htm

i dont like the way pulling the film off looks honestly. too "white" and weird.
if anything amber would be awesome, but i dont think it will work too well with all the shit is has to shine through.
autozone has some pilot led bulbs, those are pretty much as shitty as i think they are, right?

yeah... you can get those, but they're not as good as the ones i use...
amber will work fine, and if you want, there's also the No. 75 LED bulbs that you can use in your OEM climate control to replace that pale greenishblue color as well.. so your dash can actually have an amber tone to it as if it was OEM...
oh, and if you wanted to go all out, you could also replace the lighting in the door handles on the switch plates... kind of a bitch to get to, but if anythings worth doing, it's worth doing it all the way...
and i think abmer would be your best bet, as you've seen what the blue does with the needles, kinda takes the red out, but i think abler weould let the red through just fine

Super Bright LEDs - Miniature Wedge Base Bulbs
the top ones?
is the cool white going ot be too bright?
has anyone seen a white cluster with amber bulbs?
WLED Miniature Wedge Base bulbs with High Power SMD LEDs - 360 type
T3-1/4 (#194/16 type bulbs with High Power SMD. Wide Angle LEDs radially mounted emitting 360 degrees. 12 Volt DC operation.
Replaces: 194, 158, 168, 12256, 12961
you need the 194s x3 for the cluster, and the #74's for the AC panel... not sure on the doors...
if you want to stay white, i;d get the 5 panel "cool whites", the 9 panels i think would be a bit too bright, and might not even fit in the housings...
