Red- 12v obviously
Black- Ground

Purple? WTF. Here's what I've got.

Red = Power
Yellow = signal
Brown = signal
Black = diagnostic wire
everything else ground

Of those 2 signals, one of them is the wide band and the other is narrow band. Dunno which is which.

I use the XD-16 gauge that gets data from the serial connection. No output signal calibration, no noise, super fast response. Accept no substitute.

it's a PI gauge, made for Innovate, pre "innovate" logo'd DB gauge, but it's still the DB series.... still having confusion....

it seems to be reading right, but it wont connect to the logworks or NIStune.... i have the OUT 2.5mm jack ran into a serial port to USB connector....

another thing that might be my connectivity error is i don't have the "IN" jack with a terminator plug.... in the manual it says it MUST have the terminator in the IN jack...

yellow wire = 1.1V AFR and .5 = 15 AFR (simulated narrowband signal)

brown wire = 0V = 7.35 AFR and 5V = 22.39 AFR

sorry i can't afford the Xd-16 kit..... i got this LC-1 DB set up for $112 shipped with under 500 miles on the set up.... so i can afford that lol

well, i got it figured out.....

Blue wire on gauge to brown wire on LC-1 harness

purple wire on gauge to cluster dimmer wire (to dim when you cut the lights on for night time driving...

now to figure out my connectivity..... do i NEED to have the terminator plug on the "IN" wire? i'm assuming it act's as a jumper or something....

I've got an LC-1, but I don't have a gauge attached to it, so I am of no use. I only use the yellow/brown wire (can't remember right now after a night of drinking) to output the narrowband signal to the ECU.

Yes, you have to have the terminator in the IN port to communicate serially. I even have to have it for the XD-16. Also, serial to USB converters are not all created equal. Some just plain don't work well with streaming data. It should atleast try to work, though.
