Default vafc? safc?

hey i got a 93 coupe with a 98 ka motor and trany but its running an s13 ecu still and i have a few questons one should i get an s14 ecu? would it do anything or make amy differnce? the only mods done to it are intake, lsd rear end, exhaust and 2002 altima injectors that are slightly bigger and in a few days it will have headers. And also its running a little rich I was wondering what wouldbe the best thing to tune it with? vafc? safc? afc? Whatever. Can somebody help me out?

wow......

get a S14 ECU in there... if you have a manual, get a Auto ECU, no speed/rev cut, and i hear it has a hotter timing/fuel map...

running rich because of larger injectors with a stock tune....

SAFC 1-2-3/Neo will work (god did i just say that?)....

put stock injectors back in..... save up, get some decent tuning equipment (NOT SAFC'S!!), and work on getting proper parts/upgrades for whatever your goals are with your car.......

Dont put an s14 ecu in it,thats pointless. Put the stock injectors in until your ready to tune it,unless you can deal with the richness. Go on KA-T.org and read about the calumRT setup, especially since your s13 obd1 its easier to tune and you can fully tune it, instead of just doing fuel with SAF(ail)C. Also, you did swap your speed sensor+TPS those are really the only things you should've worried about.

^ that's what I was doing wrong, I was setting it at 4800... it made the tires chip when it engaged so i figured it was making more power....

i am curious, why did you put those injectors in?
What were you looking to gain from that?

and yes, a safc will do what you are looking to do.
ka's run rich from the factory, putting those bigger injectors in would make it even more rich. you don't need bigger injectors, unless you need them. just slapping bigger injectors on doesn't make any more power.

the ecu will make no difference. Might get yourself an automatic ecu, it will get rid of the fuel cut and what not. Not been able to prove the fuel maps being any better or way or another, its all hearsay...
