Default rough idle ?s

ok ive been running an open header for a day or two now and today i got a ticket for it. i was actually on my way to Advance Auto to grab a cheap one just to have one. anyways, i just put it on as well as my resonated tip to keep it quiet, and took it for a spin. i would be driving and get on the clutch to slow down and the rpms would go from 1000 to 0 and then die. it happened and i just gave it gas and it started itself up and i made my turn or wutever.

any suggestions of why this would happen?? it happened before the muffler but it wouldnt completely die just go to 2-300 rpms??

Thanks
Garrison

reset the ECU, see if that does anything.

remove positive battery terminal, pump brake a few times, connect batter back up. It rarely works, but it couldn't hurt.
