You should see if you have any brakes left.

OP, be more descriptive on what side of the back noise is coming from, left turn? right turn? braking? accelerating? any modified suspension you might have to be causing it... any recent hard curb hits clutch kicking with an open diff??

we shouldn't have to ask you 20 questions to figure out YOUR problem... be as descriptive as you can...

try spraying WD40 on all bushings, and links in the rear end, including sub frame... might help for a while...

with as much of an ass as he can be, he's right.

saying you have an s13 with a terrible squeak is like saying you have a girlfriend with a funny smell... sure, there is something wrong, but there are only about a thousand different causes for that problem...

My buddy just had this problem and I had to fix it. His problem dealt with the rear strut. There is a rubber bushing below the strut top that blew out. It was squeaking so loud that he wore ear plugs instead of checking it out. The strut was actually sticking up through the rear carpet. Check that first. It might be your problem.
