It's a light color and it was done correctly. It's not rocket science.

Your lack of faith in single stage paint is disturbing, young Skywalker.

daily driven for 2.5 years since paint, garage kept, but parked outside from 7:30 to dark usually. never buffed, or wetsanded.
car was painted properly, sure theres a couple shitty spots, but theyre my fault for not doing any prep, and not wanting the painter to, i got a crazy deal on the job, and just didnt care. it didnt need to be showcar quality.

but trust me dude. single stage is always just fine.

I have just lost alot of faith in the 2 of you... my lack of faith is due to having worked in body shops and paint quite a few cars. Single stage will never look like base coat clear coat ever end of story. If I wanted a single stage paint job I'd go to maaco.. same thing.

It doesnt have to, and we never said it did. Some colors you really cant tell the difference though and if you get a decent painter to do it it will turn out better than alot of fatory paint jobs. Go look at alot of toyotas and nissan trucks and other cars. They have orange peel all over them. Either way decent single stages look pretty decent when done correctly. And they are easier to deal with. As far as track car goes, I dont see why your getting so upset over single stage paints. I dont know of any race/track car that has a 2 stage paint job or why they would use it.

This is just a single stage straight from the gun and it looks pretty good imo. And its pretty freaking dirty.

So far the stuff has been very scratch resistant and very durable.

I'm sayingwhat i did because they are implying single stage is just as good and no matter what color it is you can always tell the difference single stage is just plain and blah it has no depth. I'd do a engine bay single stage in a heart beat, I have no problem with that or random parts painting with single stage just dont care for whole exteriors painted in single stage.
