Its made by Basf. BMW, Audi group, Porsche, Benz etc etc all use them for paints. They invented one of the most expensive paints ever. Something 10k per paint job and it has to be done by hand. Dupont is still trying to copy it.

BASF is europes version of dupont.

I mean honestly you know how much BMW paint alone cost? For my old 05 530i I had to buy a PINT of just basecoat I bought PPG shopline which is the cheapest PPG made... the PINT was $50. Thats for a car worth a fraction of a ferrari. My point is simply single stage is never as good and will never last as long as basecoat clear coat. Yes it can look good if its on a ferrari and is a $10k paint job.. sorry but a s13 is not a ferrari and the paint job is worth more than any s13.

everyone including me is just saying that single stage if done by a competent painter will look fine, and be fine for a really long time.
id rather have a single stage, well done job (like mine) then a base/clear done by any random dude.

Oh I agree but Im just saying I think pretty much anyone in their right mind would rather have a base coat clear coat paint job done by a competent painter than a single stage done by a competent painter.
