Ok, as some of you know a while back my car started to mess up horribly.
Here are the cliff notes:
Its a s13 Dohc Ka.
It started when I was going to go to the drag strip one weekend and I put 93 octane fuel with lucas octane booster. This was over 3 months ago so that fuel is long gone.
I do have an exhuast leak
.It only messes up if I go over half-throttle. I Believe it to be something electronic.
.I've basically Replaced just about everything.
.Mods on engine are only Apexi N1 dual, testpipe, and K&N air filter.
.Im using 20w50 Royal purple oil with a K&N filter.
.EGR is removed.
.Fuel Pressure lowers when I give it fuel? Don't believe that's supposed to happen but I could be wrong.

Things I have replaced are : Spark plugs, wires, distributor, dist. cap, dist. rotor, Fuel filter,ecu, Re-did the entire wiring harness twice, changed maf, Coolant temp sensor,Changed oil, changed intake manifolds to the s14 one, replaced tps, fuel injectors, fuel rail, o2 sensor, I've re-timed it like 30 times.. And I've seafoamed it, I think thats about it.

The only way I can explain this is that it basically looses power and hesitates horribly when it happeneds.

Fuel pump? just throwing it out there, not really sure. sorry man.

 

knock sensor ? retards timing ? i dont know

 

intank fuel filter/sock maybe ?

 

The sock on the fuel pump looks good, I'm almost positive the fuel pumps good since its sending 40psi of fuel, but as for the knock sensor I havent looked at it. Thanks for the help guys.

 

Well, today it started to run horribly even at quarter throttle......... It almost died twice as well.. I'm starting to think that maybe my alternator is going bad.. Im gonna go ahead and replace it tomorrow.. gay.

 

Fixed My fuel pressure and idle problem.. Yay. The vacuum line to the fpr was hooked up to the fpr but nothing on the other end. Routed it to the intake mani and problem solved. It still has the damn hesitation problem when I go over 1/4 throttle though. You cant tell in the vidoes but when it happens my car sounds like a v8.

 

hows your spark plug wires?

 

They look good, If my spark was messed up wouldnt it show at idle as well?

*edit* I forgot to mention earlier that it will mess up if I rev it over 1/4 throttle as well. So I dont have to be moving for it to mess up.

 

Yeah you're right about it showing at idle. Hmmmm did you check the sensor in the intake? Try spraying some cleaner in there maybe its gunked up.
