ok so it is bone stock.tonight it would not start. ok first thing i thought,it is the starter,but the crazy thing is if i put in and out of 1st gear it will eventually start. but then it would start on its own,and now its back to shifting to start it. and i just went and had the battery tested and it is fine. i know these motors have gremlins,so i hope someone has had the same problem and has fixed it and can give a direction to go to fix it. thanks for any help.

 

It's probably the starter, sometimes they will just get a bad area in the electric motor that makes up the starter. Next time it won't start try moving the car a foot or so and if it starts up then it's probably the starter. Other than that I don't know what to tell you, good luck.

 

ill give that a shot,i have been parking it on a angle so i can pop start it.

already? that didn't take long for it to break. you were just asking if ppl thought it was a good idea to buy one. I agree with the starter comment tho. could be on its way out.

 

i kind of thought it was the starter when i got the car. i just didnt think it was that bad off. just wanted to see if anyone had encountered the same problem. when we pulled the starter it was an oem nissan one,it was most likely the original one when it was new. but now i dont have to push the clutch in to start it.lol
