What's a good decently priced toolset?
Im looking at purchasing a nice toolset so I wont have to run to an auto parts store every time I don't have the right socket or tool. Anyone have any good suggestions for something that does the job and is decently priced?
Craftsman at sears because you can always get them replaced. Also, keep your eyes out on Craigslist and other forums as you can get good deals on sets when guys upgrade or retire from being a mechanic etc etc.. G/L

i love craftsman. the only problem is on there socket wrenches they dont have many teeth..like its click click click click when on say mac its like clickclickclickclickclick. makes things go faster i think but thats just me
+1
and very cost effective, it's like a 215pc set, comes with just about everything you'd need to work on a car, a little limited in wrenches tho...
this is the set i have and i've been using it for about 8 months, and so far it's awesome... i broke the 1/2 drive tho... but i think stanley has the same replacement deal as craftsman, just bring it in, and get it replaced...
just about any "kit" with over 200 pieces will get most any job done... of course, you will always have the "run the to store to get the right tool" but that's all part of working on cars and accruing a good set of tools....
