Default this could be a problem and i need help.

ok to start off im new to working on cars, and i've had my 240 for less than a month but im trying my hardest to learn as much as i can.

well heres the problem, whenever i turn anything electrical on my car on for example the headlights my battery light slightly comes on, sometimes the light is brighter or dimmer, but it still comes on. i checked my alternator and it seems to be working fine, i checked it by removing the black wire while the car was started and the car stayed running it didnt even change in idling. i dont think it could be the battery either because i just bought the battery new 2 weeks ago from autozone.

please help me with this problem, im thinking its nothing i should worry about but i dont know enough about cars to judge it myself.
thanks in advance for the help.

Take it to Autozone or wherever and have them do a load test on it... its free and will tell you what the issue is...

i dont want to take it to autozone only because if my alternator is not working right then the warranty is voided on my battery, does adavnce auto parts have the same service?

get a multimeter, put it on the neg and pos of the battery. should be ~14.7 volts. if its signifigantly lower your alt. is bad.

just bc a car stays on with the neg off, only means that the alt needs to make minimal load.

i just think you have alot of short grounds. You need better grounds. If everything works fine and your battery light keeps showing. you're draining too much power with little ground.

other than that... your alternator could be going out soon, but still working because its still getting charged when you turn on the engine.
