my friend said that i need like a fuel regulator. i believe him but i was wondering if i get one of those will it lower my horsepower or hinder my car in any other way?

Running rich could hinder ur HP. First find out why u r running rich then go from there.

 

what things could cause me to run rich?

 

If your car is turbo, recirculate your blow off valve.

 

get someone to look at it. interwebz wont help you based on your answers.

 

give us more details on your set up....... we can't help you if you just say "my car runs rich, why? and how do i fix it"..... we're not with you, standing in front of your car with the hood popped... we need details, specs, mods, boosted? NA? KA or SR or RB?

is it even a Nissan or are you trying to get your Ford Pinto fixed by Nissan tech?
