Default ka24de head, are stock springs dual?

are their 2 valve springs on the stock head for a ka24de? like a bigger one with a smaller one inside of it? I thought their was only one valve spring but I might be mistaken.

k, was just wondering cus I got a head that had ben hot tanked and rebuilt, and was wondering if it had aftermarket springs and retainers cus the retainers look diffrent from the stock ones. They have a groove in them, almost like a step. Any one know if there are diffrent OEM retainer designs? maybe I should take a pic of it.

I'm not a big KA guy, but on SR the retainers are steel. Those look like aftermarket titanium parts. Anyone?

yea, I thought the ka ones were steel too. The retainers in my s14 head look completely different than these. The sleve were the cam shaft sits and the brackets that bolt the cam shafts down are all tore up, so the head is usless but the parts are what im cursious about. I cannot find OEm retainers anywhere online with a pic, or any information on weather or not they have diffrent designs. Also, I cannot get a close up of ferra or bc retainers or other aftermarket companys, so Im really in the WTF area on these.

well, I found out that magnets don't stick to titanium so I put one on my stock heads retainers to feel how the magnet pulled tword them, then I did it to this head I just picked up....no pull which means fully built head. got the whole head for $20 lol, got about $700 worth of parts on it.
