the longer my intake manifodl is the more low end power i get at the sacrifice of high end power and windabilitiy
***That is exactly my point. A larger diameter cold pipe will give you more top end power than what you have now. A 2 O.D. cold pipe is way too small for a V6 with a a big turbo. A 2 cold pipeis even too small for a T28! It is great for throttle response decreased turbo lag and increased low end torque though. At high RPM and boostyour 2 cold pipe is choking!
With your new turbo setup you would be better off with a 2.25 hotpipe and a 2.75 cold pipe.
i am still making more power and godloads more torque than your sr20
***Yes my SR20 makes about oh zero hp right now. It is on an engine stand. But my Civic makes 92 hp
the money you spend do a 2.2 jun stroker kit
***Wait a few months. JWT is prototyping a 2.3L stroker kit for the SE-R right now. The parts of this kit will drop right into a RWD SR0DET block. It will use a modified KA24DE crank.

JWT 2.3L Stroker kit: Sounds pretty badass and since its actually domestic there MIGHT be a chance for it to be price decently..
BTW if any of you had to pick a turbo to throw on the SR20DET. Which would you choose??
Im thinking T3/T04 making 450HP

tropikal yeah thats the car i saw run at gville. he had to let off since he lacked a roll cage at the time but still ran 12.xx
yeah i pondered the rb26 and of course i would have single turbo upgraded it but i dont think i would be able to wait that long to save for that motor. i will probably end up with an SR just because im only shooting for a 13.5-12.5 street car then i will be done although that 2.3 stroker sounds real nice. but JUN=$$$
i also figure if u had enough $$$ you could probably retrofit the rb26dett awd platform into an s14 but if i had that amount of money id probably just import a real rhd skyline!
let me know when u guys get closer to getting done jay. perhaps in a year or so you will help me as well

***Actually a GT3037 is about the best turbo suited for the SR20DET it is a bit expensive. Realistically though a T3/T04E will get you to those power levels easily.
For example a T3/T04E with 0.82 A/R turbine housing and Stage 3 turbine wheel will put you at about 410 whp at 22 psi. To get to 450 whp you would need to run about 25 psi which turbo is certainly capable of.
If you want over 500 whp then upgrade the turbine wheel to a Stage 5 T350 turbine wheel 0.60 A/R compressor housing with a 60 trim compressor wheel.

I was thinking the T3/T04E because of the spool up time on it.
What info do you know about the HKS GT3037? IE: how well does it perform in areas such as spool up time torque psi levels for 450-500HP? I was researching that same turbo myself but didnt find a whole lot of info on it. Im wondering what makes it better suited for the SR?
Whatever I end up with its gonna be ceramic ball bearing and HKS has that going for it unlike Greddy and some of the others.

Oh yea I thought I would mention on the stroker side of the moon Id go in this order:
Toda Racing: 87.5 mm x 92mm 2213cc 8.5 : 1 $4900
Jun: 2nd biggest stroke
Tomei: decent stroker kit but a lot cheaper than Jun etc.
You could almost buy 2 nice SR20DET engines for the price of the stoker kits...ironic dont you thinK?

***GT3037: This is the mother load of turbos. Get the 52 trim compressor
and
.73 A/R turbine housing for good streetability and ~400-425 or so whp.
Get
the 56 trim compressor and .89 A/R turbine housing is you can live with
a
little more lag and want ~475+ hp.

guys how do you trust Jay Whitley to do your swap? Hes a unproductive lazy and says very profane words!!! and hell throw your shock out the garage into the street!!!
Shit you should go to Ralph at Eurostreet if you want a ghetto job done. with red wires hangin all over the place and then when your car doesnt run hell call your car the project car that never runs. heck you might get a free Eurostreet decal and maybe he wont argue with you if you say your the 2nd Original Sylvia
hahahahahahah
