well going about my daily travelings friday before last, i spun a bearing and threw a rod all at once in my 85 Z31 NA. was going up the skyway no problem, started loosing speed in 5th like it always did and i shifted to 4th and gave it some juice.. when i hit the top i get a HUGE knocking from my bottom end... loud enough that the cars around me could hear it because they were looking at me like "wtf". when i hit the bottom of the bridge (northbound) the knocking slowed to a tick. when i got the the first little bridge before the southbound tollbooth's i got a clank, the motor died and something flew out from under the car..

ive now got it back in my drive way and i havent had a chance to pull the motor yet but i did crawl under it and in my oil pan, right next to my starter is a 3" long by 3/4" wide hole. im guessing i either broke the crank and sent it into the gridle and sent part of the girdle to the top of I275 or i broke a rod and whats left of it is mixed between the side of 275 and the bottom of my oil pan.

moral of this story, "1985 nissan 300zx, mint condition, 142k miles & all service records $3000" ISNT alway a good sign when you buy a car.. lol

so, anyone wanna help me pull my motor? i dont have a stand or a cherry picker.

good idea but using a twin cam, or atleast the mods required to fit it in my z31 i dont have the time, patience, or money for.
