I'm pretty sure that QR is lighter than SR. I'm also pretty sure that the 200hp version of the QR has internals similar to the VQHR beef injection.

$1500 or so for a motor set with tranny, $1000 shopping spree at Nissan to get the Spec-V parts. Weld up a header for your app. = 200whp?

i'm sure if you have the fab skills to mount one of these in an s-chassis, you can fab up a plate to run a KA throttle body and cable.

Yeah but you would ahve to figure out a way to bypass/re-wire the TPS sensor I would think.

I'm doing the S2k for sure. I'm just thinking that someone should do this. The revised QR is a LOT better motor than the older version. Full counter crank, forged rods, better pistons, no balance shafts. Maybe just do that NA with Nismo cams and a header. Then you're looking a better solution for 200whp NA with a chance it'll be streetable.

Another thing you have to think about, the frontier transmission has a shorter tail shaft. So it would not come up in the stock shifter hole, you would have to use a ttz trans on a frontier bell housing. For it to come up close(er) to stock.

It would be pretty bad ass, to see it done though.

Well the Z32 version of the same transmission is too long for an S-chassis anyways. I think the difference between Frontier and Z32 is about 6" for shifter location. Probably bellhousing swap a Z32 unit, like you said. Then you'd get the better gearing. The trucks have retarded 1st gears.
