Need help removing EGR Valve on S14 KA
I tried to weld it up but found no help so Im just going to remove it once and for all. Is there any guides or how to's online? I tried searching but found nothing very informative or detailed. Also if someone has first hand experience that would be great. I know how to take off the exhaust manifold side but kind of confused about the intake manifold part and if I have to remove anything else.
If you would like to help it person I'm cool with that as well.
Thank you

I got a block off plate from eBay when I deleted mine.
Or have someone who can weld aluminum weld the hole shut once you remove the valve itself. This would require removing the manifold though...

that's what my block off plate looked like.
then either get one of these from Nissan ($9?):
Or you can use a nickel and cut off the end of the pipe to seal it in... Only costs 5 cents.

remove the exhaust side. You can use a nickle or quarter and jb weld (jb quick) to seal it.
Same with the intake side, you can unbolt the valve itself and use a quarter and jbweld to seal it up. then just make sure the vacuum line is plugged up too...
there is more you can do, but that's the easiest way to do it...

The block off plate is like 7 dollars shipped, go with that. JB weld is garbage. I got the oval shaped one, not the octopus looking thing above. As far as sealing up the exhaust side. I just cut the egr tube and pulled the screw fitting off and placed a nickel between it and the header and screwed it back in. Don't forget to put rtv around the hole where you took it off the intake manifold before you tighten the block off plate down or you will have a vacuum leak from hell. You can remove ALOT of stuff from an s14 intake manifold without damaging anything. EGR can go, intake manifold temp. sensor can go, all of the vacuum lines associated with the egr etc. can go, you can also remove the pcv. 4-1 system and vent it to the atmosphere. pm me if you need some help/more info. It can seem like a daunting task if you've done it before. I have like 3 vacuum lines on my intake manifold: main intake vacum port, brake booster, fuel pressure regulator, and one line for my bov. Don't mess with any of the coolant lines or you will be sorry.

Well Ive been having this issue for so long I just want to get it over with and I really don't know what I'm doing on the intake side and just paranoid.
Easy it may be, but why do you think I made this thread Sean?
