Default misfire at startup

My 2006 nissan sentra once in awhile misfires at startup. It was worse than this before. I just had my fuel filter replaced and it has gotten a little better. We thought that after we have replaced the fuel filter it'd be all good. But we were wrong. Last night around 7:35 pm, i started tried to start the car, it kept on misfiring. tried for 15 minutes....nothing. finally it started. I was like, what if it won't start....scared the shit out of me. can anyone tell what is goin on with my car?

dieing fuel pump?

if the filter was bad/bad for long enough, the added strain would kill the pump...
the sock on the pump might be clogged up too...
it could be any number of things...

A number of things?? when I first changed the filter, there was tiny black dust inside. people told me that it was due to running your car too much on E.
yea, the sock on the pump was yellow but we never replaced it. maybe that is the cause.
