ive got a 96 hardbody on bags from north tampa customs but before i did that i had drop spindles in the front and i put 3 inch blocks in the rear and i mono leafed it which slamed the rear as low as the front and i had beltech nitro active shocks all the way around which i got from god father customs on line and by the way truck did not bounce and all just felt avery bump in the road cause of how stiff the suspension was oh and i raised and drilled a hole in the front shackle in the rear leaf spring cause i used to scrape the ground. pic of truck is in my garage if you want to see it

Anyone who rides mono-leafs should be shot, you risk killing yourself and the people behind you in traffic. If that one leaf was to break, how the hell is your axle supposed to stay under there?

Run the setup I told you, that is the lowest you can get static. Without a notch and some air shocks in the rear. And if you need to go lower, bags is the best way.

agreed mike...anybody who monoleafs should die. i basically did the same thing mike explained on my hardbody before i got rid of it

that's airred up a bit and not lowered all the way up front so i could turn. i do warn you that without a notch you may hit your axle with your frame. my set up had a notch and air shocks but it was 3" blocks, middle leaf removed and redrilled hangers on 18's

I use the same shocks. Beltech is a very nice ride. I never thought about changing the leaf spring. Is it hard? How do you remove the middle leaf? and is it safe? I have to agree, it doesn't sound safe with just one spring. BDOTMIL, I love the truck. What year is it? Where did you get the wheels from? I hate to sound like a virgin, but what is the notch? I have done all the work to it. I'm uploading pics right now...

OK, Ill start here.

Bdotmil's truck - The notch is the big U(or n) over the axle, with the shocks bolted to it. It allows the axle to not hit the frame. The wheels are 18" titans, with the hub bored to fit a hardbody.

To remove the middle leaf, just remove your leaf springs. Take apart the pack by the clips, and unbolt the center bolt. pull out the middle leaf, replace the bolt and clips.

Running 2 leafs is perfectly safe, I ran my hardbody just like that for quite a while.

That was middle leaf removed, 2" lowering block w/ air in the shocks. And its a 15" rim with 195/60/15.

Any other questions just ask.
