Default EVO/STi big brake swap. kills TT brakes DEAD

Not sure if this has been discussed. looks like people have been doing if for a while now but I've yet to see any local guys running this setup.

rears look pretty simple:

Rear STi brembo caliper on 300ZX rear rotors. cut off the dust cover, 1mm thicker STi pads are recommended, install brake line and boom, 297mm rears for your 5lug S chassis. as for an e-brake you can use the 300zx setup like usual. you can also use any Brembo equipped GT-R rotors and e-brake assembly.

rears

fronts are:
STi Brembo calipers on EVO rotors, cut/remove shield. but this setup requires a .5" thick bracket to be made. you can order the brackets from TIG Engineering for 290 shipped or make your own. so everything is literally "bolt on." as far as steel braided lines go (unneeded) you can order them for an STi.

It's recommended you use a better master cylinder etc.

original thread is here, i just sorted through all the BS and posted the useful info.

That bracket isn't pretty but it beats 290 bucks. What a rip-off. I guess you're mostly paying for engineering since it sure as shit isn't materials.

Then I'll sell them one all painted metallic blue or something for half the price.

I've got a drill press...

because some of those brembos go for a pretty penny.

and it's basically overkill for 95% of the owners. w/o ABS it's lock city.

Talk to Epstein, he had that set up on his car for like a year. And Chromedrifter had the same thing as well...

I was going to do the same thing but traded my STi calipers.

I need to run something like that on the front of my 929, my front calipers/rotors are garbage.
