if im with freinds im usually just tryin to keep up with them....otherwise i used to drive it like a grandma, except when it rained or there were girls around then the whole teenage asshole driving used to kick in,lol. then i lost interest in it and now it kinda just sits there

When I had my civic and my z31 I would do 1 or 2 WOT through first and second every time I drove lol. Mostly because there wasn't a lot of work done to them so they weren't going to blow up on me. Now that I have the TT I rarely floor it, usually only if I have a passenger that wants to see how fast it is, and I never go more than 5 over and never floor it in any kind of traffic. Also its my only car at the moment and at the power im running now its pretty much well past any kind of reliability seeing that I'm still running stock internals.
Once I get my daily driver built Ill be hitting the track and flooring it a lot more often.

this is odd.
when i was sohc auto ka in my white coupe, i would just drive like grandma everywhere with the a/c on. almost never floored it, ever.
then i was dohc ka, a/c everything, and i floored it all over the place. the car actually felt slower, if that makes any sense.
then s14sr with 6psi, and i would floor it up to the speed limit or so. past that it was pointless. I think i would run it up through the gears once a day or so.
then back to drippy the KA, man , that thing would get beat on almost every day, from every stoplight. that poor engine was the best goddamned engine i've ever not owned. i kid you not, if there's ever an engine candidate for a 200whp KA, it's drippy.
now with the hot rod SR i almost never floor it. partially because i'm terrified of it coming apart, partially because it's just too freaking fast to get on it until 4th gear or so. i find it some weeks i don't even open the wastegate on the thing. then all of the sudden i have to merge, and i go from almost getting killed by the car behind me to almost rear ending the semi truck a quarter mile ahead of me in 3 seconds. it's sort of ridiculous.
however with all that power it's as if i never use it. these days i'm all concerned with fuel mileage, drivability, and oil management.

I'm glad this thread was started because I floored it today all the way up to 65mph! On the highway! In the Town Car! Oh my god!

I start off slow, pissing off everyone behind me. Then when i finall y get to 5th gear i usually do about 5-9 over the speed limit. Unless im in a hurry then 15 over. But somedays i just like driving slow and ill do like 2 under the speed limit. Really weird i guess... Then if im on a road where i never see cops, i'll get on it til about halfway through 4th and then slow down. But only if theres not many cars around. I just laugh at all the hondas boys.
