ka idle bouncing between 1100 and 2000. what could be the problem?

Default ka idle bouncing between 1100 and 2000. what could be the problem?

my ka is idling horribly.
sometimes it idles at 11 or 13, then other times it will go up to 19 or 20.
any help is appreciated.

I had the same problem, check for crossed vaccum lines.

checked vaccum lines, how is the iac adjusted?
today i noticed that when i brake it goes down some, then comes back up at a full stop.

def sounds like a vacuum leak, never had it on my ka, but helped my friend out with his after he swapped his SOHC for a DOHC
