1. loosen 4x 17mm rack bolts all the way.. but do not unthread completely
2. stick random long tool through steering knuckle and twist back

you can add almost 3 inches of clearance this way... and it does not bind your knuckle.

I made the s13truck a bottom mount T3 a few years back. love it. it took me a few hours to set it up on my mock engine but pretty easy going after that. you will get it!
