Is a sr transmission compatible with a ka?

Or vise versa.

I have heard this before but dont remember how reliable it was.

What about clutch , flywheel?

 

SR bellhousing is different.
Clutch KA specific same w/ flywheel. if you need a KA clutch I have one. but flywheel your on your own.

 

they're both fs5w71c's , you can interchange them with minor modifications

I had the gear box outa my SOHC on my sr for almost 2 years without a problem.

your exactly right you just have to swap belhosings, and as far as clutch/flywheel you have to use the motor specific one(if its a sr then use a sr and if its a KA then use ka)

its a pretty simple swap, took us a couple hours dicking around in a shop. there is a write up online somewhere

 

bamm there you go somebody has done it on here.
doesnt sound that hard to do either..
