Once basic maintenance is taken care of, a few suspension parts and a decent wheel/tire combo. No need to go to extremes, I would suggest keeping it simple, makes for less of a headache down the road.

Do suspension, wheels, and nothing more really. I would save a good 4k (if you can do it yourself) for a TT swap. 8k for a shop to do it. (good one)
