i deff would not buy a motor from there.
did you see it run or compression test it or see if it smokes nope.
but they can say it dont make noise or smoke- because it dont run.
at least with a shop near by they give you like a 30 day startup warrenty

Only time I'd buy a motor off eBay would be for a core. IE head and block going off for machining. There are plenty of local-ish shops that can get motors that have atleast some sort of compression or startup guarantee. In fact, there are many importers in Miami, and UPS Overnite (truck freight line) shouldn't be but $75-100 from there.
as soon as my VW sells(if the damn thing ever does) I have to find a source to buy a SR from also.
Sorry for a thread jack for a minute but any body have actual buyer experiance from these places?>

My vote is locally this still bearing the fact I bought an Sr locally(from a shop) and got reamed hardcore.... Well it was my first time ever buying a motor and learned a good deal from it. Although two friends of mine ordered motors online and had good luck as well. One was Osaka(heard bad things too) and the other was some place in Canada. In any case you have your good and your bad no matter where you go. It'd be cool if everyone let you take the time to tear down the motor and inspect everything before buying it.
