has anyone had a problem with just there tach if so was it a short or did u have to replace the hole instrument clucter?

it goes up and down and when it goes up it passes 8000rpm range and i could be seating at a stop light or i am going down the highway at 80mph and it reads 0 rpm

You have a loose ground wire somewhere. I think the cluster grounds behind the driver's kick panel.

ya if it was dead it wouldnt move at all and u can buy just the tac i've had to do it on my old s14

also i am working on get parts to go rb25det has anyone used parts off the rb clip to convert at to 5spd if so what parts aere interchangable? thanks for any help
