S13 Redtop Cam question
I am thinking of getting a set of Jim Wolf S3 cams for my s13 sr20det redtop, I have tried to find alot of info on this cams but I just cant seem to find out what I want to know about them. Does the S3 cams take away from top end? I really would like to have some more top end with a set of cams with out having to take away alot from bottom end torque. Is this a good choice or should I buy from another brand of cams?
some of the best cams i've used are jim wolf C1's. they do require springs, however.
i personally would do a set of brian crower stage 2's before almost anything else on the market, if the price is still as good as athey were before. dollar for dollar they will own almost every other cam on the market by far.

JWT S3's PWN. Compared to stock cams, you'll have huge top end. Of course if you're already maxing out your turbo (read:stock T25) you won't make anything more. (that's why it's called max). You shouldn't lose much on the low end. The S-series is still considered a small cam, so low end / low speed should be much the same.
Thank yall for the information so from my understanding the S3's have a huge performance difference over stock and it can give me more top end depending on the size turbo I decide to get?
Basically. If you're on a T25 and already making 250whp, no amount of voodoo magic (including S3's) will get you more power. If you're on a 2871r and are stuck at 320-330whp, S3's or S4's will usually bump you into the 350-360whp range strictly on high rpm gains.
What do you mean right parts? And are the HKS cams better than Brian Crower, I mean they are the same duration but which is the better quality I guess is what I'm asking.
